Counseling With Joey & Associates is a collaborative group of licensed therapists specializing in fertility, IVF, and surrogacy counseling. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve helped hundreds of clients successfully navigate the complexities of third-party reproduction to build beautiful families.

We offer consultations for intended parents and embryo donors as well as psychological evaluations for surrogates, egg donors and sperm donors. In addition, we also offer traditional therapy for individuals, couples and families.

Our Story

Counseling With Joey & Associates started as the private practice of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Joey Guzman-Kuffel. Joey and his husband Rob have two daughters through surrogacy and egg donation, and their paths to fatherhood inspired them and changed their lives forever.

Joey’s personal experience sparked a passion for helping others navigate the often-complex process of collaborative family building. That’s how Counseling With Joey & Associates was born.

Over the years, Counseling with Joey has grown from a private practice to a corporate group practice employing several mental health professionals, each with their own unique connection to fertility. In addition to their own personal fertility experience, our team has also received extensive training and education in the mental health aspects of third-party reproduction. They are truly subject matter experts in the field.
