Counseling with Joey & Associates is a compassionate and inclusive mental health practice specializing in fertility, IVF, and surrogacy counseling. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve helped thousands of clients successfully navigate the complexities of third-party reproduction to build beautiful families. We offer ASRM compliant psychoeducational consultations for intended parents and embryo donors as well as psychological evaluations for surrogates, egg donors and sperm donors. In addition, we also offer traditional therapy for individuals, couples and families. Our mission is to provide exceptional therapeutic care in a supportive and affirming environment. We specialize in supporting diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and families, with a focus on building healthy relationships and fostering emotional well-being.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Provider to join our team. In this role, you will work with clients to educate and prepare them for a fertility journey as well as psychologically assess potential gestational carriers and donors. The ideal candidate is skilled in evidence-based practices, culturally competent, and passionate about supporting clients from all walks of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Intended Parent Psychoeducational Consultations, Surrogate and Donor Psychological Assessments as well as assisted reproductive technology (ART) joint sessions.

  • Administer psychological assessment inventories and interpret/analyze results.

  • Generate detailed, comprehensive completion reports for consultations and psychological assessments.

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.

  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on client goals and assessments.

  • Facilitate sessions that promote emotional connection, effective communication, and conflict resolution.

  • Maintain timely and accurate client documentation in accordance with company policies and ethical standards.

  • Stay current with professional training and continuing education within the field of therapy and third-party reproduction.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or a related field.

  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, Ph.D, Psy.D, LPCC or equivalent.

  • Hold licensure in multiple states -or- be a member of an interstate pact allowing you to practice across state lines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to cultural competency.

  • Familiarity with LGBTQ+ affirming practices is a plus.

  • Prior experience with the fertility/surrogacy industry is a plus.

  • Bilingual is a plus.
